Honours research

The aim of my Honours research project is to understand how the brain makes predictions, by measuring the neural correlates of surprise responses using electroencephalography (EEG). This will be done by presenting a stream of gratings with features that vary in terms of predictability, while participants are asked to perform an orthogonal target detection task. I aim to investigate how the brain’s response, measured using electrical activity, is affected by prediction.
