Mattingley Lab Christmas Party
The Mattingley lab celebrated the end of a turbulent year with a sweaty but successful Christmas lunch! The event featured fun anecdotes about everyone's pasts and some present stealing shenanigans. Wishing you all a safe and relaxing holiday season and success in the upcoming grant-writing season!
Working from home
The Mattingley lab's experimental testing has been on hold this year, as we (and the rest of the world) work from home. On a whole the lab has adjusted well, embracing online testing platforms, international zoom journal clubs, twitter conferences, and the ability to finally get some writing done.

Welcome back Emily McCann and Abbey Nydam
The Mattingley lab welcomes back to Alumni as research assistants this year. Abbey Nydam recently completed her PhD under the supervision of Paul Dux. Morgan McIntyre passed her Mid-Candidature Review
Morgan passed her PhD mid-candidature review without a hitch. Here she is pictured at the 2019 Mattingley lab retreat to Heron Island on the Great Barrier Reef. One more year to go Morgan!
Welcome New Students!
The Mattingley lab welcomes a bunch of new students this year! We have four new PhD students:
Imogen Stead, who is starting her PhD after completing her honours thesis in the lab in 2018 and has been working as a research assistant with us for the past year. Rebecca West, who completed her honours thesis in the lab in 2017, and will be completing her PhD jointly through the Schools of education and Psychology. Sylvie Loneragan, who is new to the lab joins us from the School of Engineering, and Emily A-Izzeddin, who joins us from the School of Psychology and will be under the principle supervision of Dr Will Harrison.
We also have three new honours students this year; Sera Yoo, Mia Dear, and Dana Galligan are all completing their honours years through the School of Psychology. We wish them the best of luck!
