Research while in the Mattingley Lab

My research is in the area of human spatial navigation, with the focus on how we use, process and store landmarks, scenes and spatial layouts for navigating successfully through the environment. I am using behavioural, virtual reality and neuroimaging methods to characterize the cognitive and neural processes involved in spatial navigation and memory. In addition to my research in human navigation I am interested in the role of the human cerebellum in non-motor processes, using neuroimaging to characterize its involvement in fundamental perceptual, cognitive, and emotional functions.

Research interests

  • Spatial navigation
  • Memory
  • fMRI
